The specificity of the Berlin art scene consists in the mix of extremely opposite approaches and experiences. The technically demanding installation by Alexei Kostroma may remind of a product presentation done by an advertising agency at first sight.
However, on closer look it turns out to be a serious exhibition project. Wilde Gallery is situated in the center of Berlin, right across the street from the prestigious Neuer Berliner Kunstverein, which was not exactly teeming with visitors at the time. Unlike the larger gallery, Wilde Gallery attracted the attention of about fifty people during the shooting of this report.
Some of them were simply captivated by the esthetically levitating feathers reminding of snowflakes in the hot summer days, offering to refresh the mind, if not the body. Others let themselves to be dragged into a visual chaos that certainly led them to pause for a moment of reflection.
